Arrive in “Royal Fashion” at Villa Aquamare

An Elevated Villa Experience with a Charter Aircraft Transfer to Virgin Gorda B.V.I. included!

We are proud to announce the new “Royal Arrival Package”, offering a dramatic way to arrive in high style at Villa Aquamare, Virgin Gorda. Guests who book a seven night rental will receive a round-trip private air charter transfer on Air America Caribbean, one of the most trusted charter airlines in the Caribbean.

This astonishing $2,750 value, at no additional cost, includes VIP Meet and Greet service at both airports, speeding guests to the departure gate without the need to pick up luggage or enter TSA security.  This luxury getaway that commences on the Jetway, is the only way to go!

Using Britten-Norman Islander aircraft’s, the famed nine-passenger planes originally designed to transport the Queen of England on her visits to small islands around the Caribbean; Air America Caribbean will transport Villa guests in a similar royal fashion. Aquamare guests will be flown on a non-stop flight from either San Juan International Airport (SJU) in Puerto Rico to Virgin Gorda, BVI (a 40 minute flight) or from St. Thomas international airport (STT) to Virgin Gorda, (a 20 minute flight).

The Royal Arrival Package offers guests more than just an opportunity to arrive in style. It eliminates a long layover, allowing the flexibility of tailoring the charter flight to fit the arrival time on a major carrier – and therefore maximizing precious vacation time.

The round-trip island transfers and VIP service has value of $2,750 and is good for a maximum of nine guests.

The “Royal Arrival package” is valid from January 10 through April 30, 2012, based on renting all five bedrooms in one of Villa Aquamare’s villas for a week-long stay.  Weekly Package rate of $23,500 is based on seven nights and a maximum of 9 guests. Taxes and service charge are not included.

My Beachfront Villa room at Bitter End

Beachfront Villa's at Bitter End

Beachfront Villa room at Bitter End

I feel like a princess staying in the Beachfront Villa Room at Bitter End.  My alluring king-sized bed, with its striking golden-yellow & baby blue bed spread, is so inviting I immediately plop my bottom onto its soft exterior. The room in cozy, breezy and relaxed; yet very stylish with an up-scale Caribbean feel. The décor at Bitter End is very “island style”: a hammock on my deck, a complementary bottle of rum in my room, a Master Bed in Beachfront Villa Roomgorgeous stone tiled shower with jalousie windows that open to the outdoors. It’s a chic little hut privately located high up on the hillside with an amazing view of the north sound.  I can open all the doors, to allow the cool breeze in, and let it all hang out–literally!! Bathroom in Beachfront Villa RoomSteps to Beachfront Villa Rooms

First Impressions of BEYC from a BVI newbie

Here I am at the Bitter End Yacht Club in the British Virgin Islands! Its so different than what I thought it was going to be.  I used to live in Hawaii for 10 years, and I guess I expected it to be a lot like Hawaii, but WOW its so different!

So much better, if you ask me.  I don’t know it’s hard to explain. The area is so much more spread out, so many little islands and cays and everything is on the water.

Water activities rule here: sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, kite boarding, windsurfing, fishing. Its all done on the water. That’s not to say there aren’t some land-based activities. We are planning a hike to Biras Creek in a couple of days, and I’m told it’s the view is breathtaking from the peak behind the resort.

A very privately situated room.  I can open all the doors, to allow the cool breeze in, and let it all hang out–literally!!

Such nice friendly people here too. The staff is very talkative and warm; they will sit with you and tell you stories of the BVI or talk about the best local spots to visit.

Our first night here and the chef prepared a special sampling of his finest dishes. We drank Semillon wine (a French wine) that went fabulously well with the most delicious key lime pie I’ve ever had in my life! No kidding. The key lime pie at Bitter End is known throughout the BVI as the BEST! And, I can confirm that it is. I plan on having a slice (or 2) everyday I’m here. Diet be damned!

Bed and Breakfast Special Pricing

The Bitter End is offering the perfect price for a long romantic weekend. For only $250 a night for two, you get either a Beachfront Villa or North Sound Suite and a delicious breakfast daily. The most difficult decision you’ll have to make is whether to enjoy a cool drink by the pool, paddle a kayak, or simply do nothing. So leave the kiddies at home, grab the sunscreen, and get going!

North Sound Suites

The North Sound Suites have an amazing view!

The Bitter End Yacht Club is an ideal location for families or friends traveling together. The North Sound Suite is two separate units with a connecting door. One side has two queen beds while the other has a king size bed. Both rooms have bathrooms, showers, ceiling fans, and amazing views of the North Sound. On my next trip I would love to bring my husband and children. He and I would stay on one side while the kids could have their own room right next door.

Each room has a front deck with chairs — a perfect spot to enjoy the view and feel the balmy breezes.

Beachfront Villas

The view from our room - wow!

The beachfront villas are perched on the hillside like little tree houses. They all have a spectacular view of the North Sound.

We were in a premium beachfront room during our stay. (Premium meaning the room has air-conditioning and is closer to the activities and restaurants.) Our room had two twin beds, but others have king-sized beds. If I were to visit with my family, I’d probably book two adjoining rooms — one for the adults and one for the kids.

If there weren’t so many fun activities to do outdoors at the Bitter End, I would have gladly sat on the porch with a book and a cold drink, simply relaxing and soaking up the view.
