British Virgin Islands

The British Virgin Islands “Nature’s Little Secret” as it is fondly called are a group of more than 60 islands and cays.  The Bitter End Yacht Club is located on Virgin Gorda one of the beautiful islands.

The four main populated  islands are:

The British Virgin Islands are the sailing and water sports capital of the world. White sand beaches, turquiose water, protected sailing, ship wrecks and an abundance of reefs provides the water lover with a taste of everything. For the land lubber there are hiking trails, shopping, museums, gardens, remaints of the rain forest on Tortola and Virgin Gorda, restaurants and shaded beaches.

Access from around the world is via San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Maarten and Antigua. The US dollar is the local currency, there are many international banks with ATMs, and  credit cards are widely accepted.

Car rentals are available from both local and Global car rental companies like Avis, Hertz, Budget, National.

Marinas accommodated from the smallest to mega yachts are on Tortola and Virgin Gorda.

Modern communications are available around the islands from high speed internet to very good cell phone service.

The BVI are quiet, yet active.
